Something New is Coming

The Prairie Farmstead is coming Spring of 2018!  At The Prairie Farmstead we are combining our unprecedented Prairie Elder Homes care with an even deeper foundation of engagement.  At all of our homes we work to give back Community, Connection and Control to our residents.  Control is the foundation we build upon.  We give back control by anticipating our residents needs, helping them stay oriented to their surroundings and supporting them with daily tasks.  This way, they are not left to figure out how to make these things happen on their own.  If you are living with dementia, sometimes figuring out simple things can be hard and frustrating.  Because our residents don't grapple with finding control, and having their needs met, they are able to more deeply connect with the people and environment around them.  Making connections is what engagment is all about!  Follow our progress to learn more about our Farmstead concept and our approach to engagement!
