You want evidence that the post did exist, even if it later disappears. If anyone tries to deny it ever happened, you can produce your screenshot as incontrovertible proof that it did. They may be backtracking now, but the fact is they said it, and that can never be taken away.?

Because among the tragedy and pain we are in, something big is happening. There is a massive shift unraveling before our eyes. When the war is over, we can’t go back to how things were before. We have to hold on to our new worldview and?

The Jewish world is united like never before.?The walls that divided us just a few weeks ago have all fallen down. Opposing sides in politics are working shoulder to shoulder. The rifts over religion have been put aside. The divide between Israel and the Diaspora hardly exists. We feel closer, crying together as one nation, and standing together behind our soldiers to face our common enemy.??We are one.

Jews want to be more Jewish.?We are scrambling to do mitzvot?- light Shabbat?candles, put on Tefillin, and keep Shabbat. We are filling synagogues, and attending rallies, challah bakes, prayer meetings, and solidarity marches. Jews who didn’t necessarily identify out in the open before are now coming forward proudly. And those who may have not thought of themselves as big believers are turning to prayer for comfort and hope.??We are proud Jews.?

The Jewish heart is beating louder.?Our love for each other, our care for those in harm’s way, our concern for the injured and missing, and our generosity towards those in need are sharper than ever. We have seen an unprecedented outpouring of material and monetary support, for bereaved families, suffering communities, under-equipped army units, and those who have been evacuated from their homes.??We really care.?

We know who our friends are, and who they aren’t.?Good people the world over are supporting us. Anyone with an ounce of moral sensibility can see the evil we are facing, and the terrible necessity of the war Israel is forced to wage. Even many who previously did not support Israel have changed their minds, now that the true nature of our enemies has been exposed.?

And then, there are those who oppose us no matter what. They are being called out for their irrational hatred of Israel and immoral double standards. Our detractors in academia, media, and politics can no longer hide behind righteous claims of even-handedness. If you can’t name evil, you support it.??We know the truth, and now it is open for all to see.?

With G-d’s help, this war will end quickly and with good results. But what cannot end is the atmosphere of oneness, pride, love, and truth that has arisen these last two weeks. Let’s take a screenshot, so when things settle down and old habits try to creep back in, we remember who we really are - Jews, united and proud. A bright and happy future is starting now. Let’s grab it and never let go.?
