Someone has to pay for this genocide!

13,069....And, alas – counting has only begun!

One part of me seriously questions - Is it even an appropriate time to ask what truly caused this disaster that’s still unfolding after 13,000+ dead? Shouldn’t we be focused on addressing the problem at hand?

“If you are unable to understand the cause of a problem, it is impossible to solve it.” – Naoto Kan

While the entire world is clueless on where this is heading, it is appalling to find a basic question missing on our lips - “What truly caused this unimaginable suffering?”. Barring a few whimpers around the existence of China’s biological warfare lab in Wuhan, no one has any credible information on what caused this. Many still believe, it originated from the dead bats in Wild Animal market also interestingly located in Hubei province of which Wuhan is the capital.

Even more shocking fact is to observe the entire global community not interrogating China to explain the same convincingly. For all his shortcomings, Trump is the only global leader who has dared to openly hold the Chinese responsible for this calamity. Sometimes, it only takes a bully to address the problem of another!

Shouldn’t China pay for this? In fact, it is in China’s own interest to come out clean on this matter by revealing the truth behind the fiasco which can potentially help others understand the real cause of the problem paving the way for a solution.

In absence of the same, Should the world trust China as it did earlier – even though, many may ask “Did we ever”? Is it time the world started the process of redefining the economic order which is sans China?

As someone aptly said, “If the flowers don't bloom, you don't fix the flowers. But, you fix the roots!” We all deserve an answer for “What caused this cataclysm?”. Otherwise, as a meme on Whatsapp pertinently mentioned, “Please don't be concerned if you haven’t been affected yet. Covid-20 Pro is on its way!” ?

It is China and its dictator leadership fault,. They lied, mis managed and mis guided the world. They should definitely pay price for it

On the question of Transparency and accountability, one has to look at role of WHO along with China. They kept on saying there was no evidence of human to human transmissions, while medical experts were saying otherwise. They only agreed to it in 3rd week of Jan... They were more than happy to follow China line of messaging

https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2020-03-24/can-china-be-sued-over-the-coronavirus An interesting read on an age old act that may be giving some people too much power. Well too much power should bring with it too much responsibility

We also make a note that this COVID-19 virus is an imported virus. All other countries imported it from China. They let their people travel to China and return unchecked for several weeks.? No point in blaming it on China when rest of the world did not take enough precaution. The vegetable vendor down the street of India has no fault , the daily wage laborer has no fault , the coolie on Railway and Bus station has no fault. Those poor , less educated people were doing their work and their income is snatched away because some educated Indian IT worker returned from onsite and brought the virus along , did not observe self quarantine and spread it all over. While China is accountable and other governments are accountable too for not putting restrictions immediately but that doesn't mean individuals who continue to behave recklessly even now are any less responsible for this spread ? ? This is not first time that a virus originated from China has wrecked havoc all over the world. Please read the article https://www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/articles/2020-03-04/why-so-many-epidemics-originate-in-asia-and-africa which provides details of earlier pandemic starting from China. Unless the country of origin of virus is taken to task there won't be any long term fix.

Rajesh Pandit You have raised some pertinent points. In a highly networked world, there are consequences each of us needs to bear for the actions we take. The world is battling a pandemic, a crisis unleashed on it by #China. Instead of showing some accountability and remorse, there has been a deluge of digital content emanating from China accusing the west for the fallout of #WuhanVirus. They are trying to brazen their way out of this like a typical bully. While #XiJinping and #China definitely need to be taken to task for this. I would even go a step further and accuse them of war crimes in this case because the situation in front of us is unprecedented. At the same time, we have usual suspects from the intelligentsia who have come in support of #China and some like present World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus have gone a step further in praising the steps taken by China in combating this problem. #LiberalMedia in the west are quick to put the #American President in the dock for all things under the sun. Yet in this case, they are helping China whitewash this entire episode, often downplaying the impact of #CoronaVirus since January. https://thehill.com/opinion/international/487851-china-and-the-whos-chief-hold-them-both-accountable-for-pandemic
