Some tips to pass the #MCP Microsoft Licensing exam 70-705

Yesterday I finally took the Microsoft Certified Professional exam for Designing and Providing Microsoft Licensing Solutions to Large Organizations 70-705. I passed it!!!, it wasn’t easy but I did it. It is fun. If you work in a #Microsoft #Partner as a seller I encourage you to find the time to study and take it as well. For you won’t be as hard either I promise you. Now is not necessary to go to Learning Center you have the option to take from your own computer at the office or at home.

Let me show you how you can showcase to your customers or your employer you are proficient in Microsoft Licensing.

Tips on passing the 70-705 MCP exam:

1. The 70-705 is an updated exam with our latest technology that distributes its 57 questions (41 questions with multiple choice question and 16 questions with 2 case studies) in 3 pillars:

• Recommend the appropriate technology solution (65%) Determine the right on-premises, Online Services or Azure solution to meet a customer’s needs
• Recommend the appropriate Software Assurance benefits (15%) Determine the right Software Assurance (SA) benefits to meet a customer’s needs
• Recommend a licensing solution (20%) Determine the right Microsoft licensing program to meet a customer’s needs such as the Enterprise Agreement (EA), the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) or Open Agreements.

2. Prepare and prepare… at least take two weeks to study 1 hour per day, the best way to do it is with the courses and exam prep at https://getlicensingready.com. There are 17 different modules that align to the real exam, written by the same folks who offer the live Online course. This site is great since it gave you the course and the similar question you will see in the exam.

3. Book your exam, just do it. It is suggested to do it with at least 1 month in advance so you can have the time to study. You are able to change it if need, if this is the case make sure to do it before 1 week. There is a fee of 12.5% based on the current Microsoft exam price as published on Microsoft.com/learning, today it costs $165.

4. Make sure you have free in your calendar at least 2 hours to take the test. I finished after 90 minutes, so it is enough time to complete it.

5. Set the exam's language to English sometimes the translations are more difficult to understand. Microsoft Licensing is already complex to add more elements!. When do it from your computer the provider makes sure that all applications running in your PC are off, the camera is on so you cannot talk to anybody and the there is not notebook, pen, cellphone, even your watch is not close to you.

6. Perform a system test prior the exam day. Please follow this link to perform a system test from the same computer and location you will be testing from on exam day: https://www.pearsonvue.com/microsoft/op. Ensure you have administrative rights on your computer to be able to download the software. If your system does not meet the requirements please register to take the exam at a testing center.

7. and relax that you will pass.
