Some tips to boost your spirits when you are feeling low.

Assalamualaikum,
There are times when you may feel sad or low for various reasons. It's important to remember that it's okay to feel this way occasionally. You don't always have to be cheerful. Taking a day to rest in bed is perfectly fine. However, when you're ready, here are some ways to lift your spirits:
1. Connect with Allah:
Begin by performing two rak'ahs of Salah and talk to Allah. Share everything that's bothering you with Him Azzawajal. When you're finished, remind yourself of the Quranic verse, "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear" (2:286). If necessary, recite this verse aloud in your language.
2. Personal Hygiene:
When you're feeling low, even a simple act of cleaning yourself can be uplifting. You can start with brushing your teeth or washing your face, or you can pamper yourself with a complete self-care routine, including a face mask, a long hot bath, or a pedicure. This tip involves cleansing your body to refresh your mind.
3. Create Something:
Engaging in creative activities can rejuvenate your energy and spirit. Cooking is a personal favorite of mine, but it could be any creative endeavor that you enjoy, such as writing blogs, arts and crafts, or design.
4. Exercise:
Physical activity is a proven stress-reliever. Research suggests that it boosts the production of endorphins, the brain's feel-good neurotransmitters. My favorite form of exercise is Zumba. Choose your favorite workout, whether it's Zumba or another form of exercise, to relieve stress and improve your mood.
5. Enjoy Light-Hearted Entertainment:
Sometimes, simply watching your favorite shows or movies can help you feel refreshed. Opt for feel-good, light-hearted shows or movies rather than thrillers or action films. They are labeled "feel-good" for a reason, and they can help transform negative thoughts into positive ones.
