Some States Have Begun to Allow Mental Health Days for Students

In a win for mental health advocates, Oregon and Utah have passed legislation that allows students to take mental health days off of school just as they would take sick days. As depression and anxiety, among other mental health problems are on the rise for children and teenagers, advocates and hope that this will help curb the ongoing mental health crisis.
