.??????Learn to “walk with kings nor lose the common touch” (treat the Janitor and CEO just the same).
.??????Respect your elders, you’ll be old one day.
.??????Read Rudyard Kipling’s poem “If”, learn it and live by it until the day you die.
.??????In a negotiation, always look for a ‘win-win’ outcome.
.??????When entrusted with a secret, keep it.
.??????Always be kind even to a motley fool. (Look it up)
.??????Keep your true friends close, you’ll know who they are as time goes by.
.??Be a hero whenever you can, if you are fortunate in life send the lift back down for others to rise.
.??Always return a borrowed car cleaned with a full tank of petrol.
.??When shaking hands, take a firm grip, smile and look them in the eye.
.??Always be honest, even if it means your death; honesty and integrity are everything.
.??If you have kids hug them and tell them you love them whenever you can, they already know it but you never know when your last day may come.
.??Always try to inspire others to succeed.
.??Be courageous, but don’t be stupid by taking unnecessary risks.
.??Put down your phone and ‘see’ the majesty of the world around you.
.??Stop what you are doing and let any beautiful sunset wash over you, it was conducted by an angel so let it warm your heart and appreciate it while you can.
.??Never be quick to judge others, they may be fighting a battle you know nothing about.
.??Listen to works by J.S. Bach, if there was such a thing as soul music in the 18th century, this is it.
.??Do something that scares you occasionally, it will reinvigorate you with that feeling of being ‘alive’ which tends to ebb away the older you become. (and don't do the mountain bike thing below - just for example!)
.??You marry the girl, you marry her family and she will turn into her mother.
.??Be like a Swan, always remain calm on the surface and paddle like crazy underneath.
.??Travel the world and see as much of it while you’re still able, there is so much to see and so little time.
.??Never be afraid to ask out the prettiest girl in the room and fall in love if only for a short moment in time, you'll know when you have and you'll never regret it.
.??When you pass a homeless person on the street, remember, they were just like you once in every way; life has dealt them a crappy hand so see if you can help if only to spare some change.
.??Do something for the environment, even if it means just planting a sapling or picking up plastic; make the world a better place for those that follow.
.??Always trust new people first, it is up to them to prove themselves worthy, and always trust your gut, it is inevitably correct.
27. If something seems too good to be true, it invariably is so walk away.
28. If you get the chance go to see the Northern Lights, It's magical and worth the effort!
29. Always "show-up in the world", be humble, be earnest and be committed; If you always try hard and do your best your quality will shine through without the need to boast or brag. Listen to my friend Lonnie, he say's it better than anyone....
