Does “Hello World!” remind you of the first-ever program you wrote? Well, the world you said hello to has changed drastically. Computers are mainstream, they are driving innovation (also your vehicles).

In a world where around 700 programming languages exist, picking what you learn isn’t easy. But make the right choice and for many companies, you could be the Chosen One.?

Here’s a list of three languages that are in-demand, popular, and worth your time.

Python:

Learn it and you will do much more than just slither ahead. Created by Guido Van Rossum and released in 1991, Python is powering technologies that are building the future. It is powering technologies like artificial intelligence, data science, and machine learning, among others. Software engineers, mathematicians, data analysts, scientists, all use Python.

Now the best thing about Python is that it is easy to learn and available for free. You can learn the basics at your own pace from various online resources. Spotify and Netflix use python to run their recommendation engine. You have to just keep exploring - every small project in Python will be a giant leap for you.?

Java:

Meet the Superman of programming languages. James Gosling created Java at Sun Microsystems and made it available to the world in 1995. Over the decades, it’s still trending. Java is used in a variety of applications, including desktop, mobile, cloud, artificial intelligence, and web development. Java manages Twitter’s heavy traffic, it is also the choice of tech giants like Google, Amazon, and Instagram.??

This high-level, object-oriented programming language ain’t out of your reach! Java is easy to learn, because of its English-like syntax and minimum special characters.?

C:

Once you learn it, you will C things differently. The real veteran, C is a general-purpose programming language that has stood the test of time.?

In the modern age, the language remains as relevant as a pout in a selfie. Companies like GitHub, Messenger, and MasterCard, among others, trust the C programming language because of its speed and efficiency.?

But why do programmers love the C language so much? because it goes easy on them, it can be learned through so many freely available resources or because it just fills that empty void in their hearts. In any case, this is one language you should definitely explore.

From 2021 to 2031, it is anticipated that the employment of software developers, quality assurance analysts, and testers will increase by 25%. In this new market, learning the right languages will be crucial for your career.?

Lastly, remember that there is no “best language”. Every programming language is a world of its own. With its own set of rules, applications, use cases, and challenges. Once you understand them, you’ll learn to converse with machines.
