At Some Point We Must Question This!
I don't know about you but I'm having a hard time determining accurate information and false information regarding what to do during this supposed pandemic. On one hand we pay attention to a document drafted by a state department of health outlining quite explicitly what to do during a potential pandemic where the powers of our politicians are clearly stated and liberties are not taken away. On the other hand we have governors that have been given unlimited power just because someone declared a state of emergency without statistical data warranting it. Chaos has ensued as lawmakers/politicians have now filed suit and one judge has granted a stay of execution regarding the continued shelter in place.
I've read that this might be motivated by profiteers due to increased funding if the statistics support that illnesses and deaths due to COVID are listed as the cause on medical reports however I've also read that in an alarming number of cases COVID - 19 was a contributing factor to much more serious underlying medical issues - not the primary cause. But due to increased funding ER doctors are being encouraged to declare COVID the cause.
I am not the most politically engaged citizen but I do understand the system and I must say I've never been more disappointed in my elected officials than I am now. I've also come to the conclusion that the great state I grew up in may not be what I had hoped it would become nearly sixty years ago. When all of the statistics are hopefully made known, and hopefully some one does the job of fact-checking (as best as can be done) as to whether this was really about COVID-19 or was it an enormous test by a grand puppeteer to determine whether or not we are prepared for chemical warfare whether it come from friend or foe. We begin to realize how important the preservation of our freedoms really are and we never let this travesty (usurping of political power) happen again. Be safe, be well and do what you have to do to feel that way but please stop judging others for feeling differently. Governor Pritzker should never by allowed to use the word "reprehensible" again.
May your day be blessed.
