Some news from me...

Yesterday was an emotional day. It was my last day at Guild . Today is another emotional day as I’m re-launching my consulting business www.michellegoodall.co.uk

After several years of focusing on SaaS/product marketing at Access Intelligence and Guild I’m returning to my first love. I’ve missed the people, advisory, training/coaching side of things.

When Ashley Friedlein told me about Guild I never imagined it would turn into a 4-year journey. Through the dark days of Covid and the creation of a growth engine producing global customer wins and ARR growth, I’ve loved every minute.

Many of you know that Guild ain’t my first rodeo with Ashley. In the early 2000s I was part of the Econsultancy team that created a successful global community of over 600,000 digital marketers.

I’ve been advising some Guild clients on their community led growth strategies - I’ve been a community strategist, lecturer and trainer in marketing and community building for >25 years - but I’ve needed to focus on Guild’s own marketing. I had to say no to lots of community building projects I wanted to support over the past few months.

I love how community rocket fuels marketing and growth AND can help solve societal problems.

So, from today I’ll be advising and supporting businesses and organisations with their community strategies, whether they choose Guild or have other technologies in place.

I’ll help them grow through Community Led Growth and Community Based Marketing, I’ll develop Go to Market strategies and coach teams to deliver. I can also provide CaaS (Community as a Service).

Alongside B2B and B2C clients, I’ll work with non-profits, charities, social enterprises and others who place community at the very heart of their missions.

My first clients include Guild, a technology incubator, a large charity, a global marketing agency and a community for creatives.

Thank you to the brilliant Guild team past and present for the fun we’ve had together on this exciting journey of growth. I’ll fondly remember the workshops and moonlit beach walks in Cornwall, beach pasties, Dirty Martinis and all the laughs.

The biggest thank you goes to Ashley who had the vision to start a brilliant, ethical community platform that the world very much needed.

He is an amazing visionary, a man of integrity, a wonderful colleague and friend.

I’ll continue to be Guild’s biggest ambassador and will continue to work with them to support their growing client base.

I’m now open to new projects.
