Some new features of Oracle Autonomous Database
Auto Scaling
This is a feature released in June 19, the autonomous database can automatically increase or decrease the number of OCPUs according to the load, up to 3 times the defined OCPU, but it cannot exceed the limit of 128.
For details, see: Now You Can Automatically Scale Your Autonomous Data Warehouse With A Single Click…
Access Control Rule
This feature was first released in April 2019. The original name was access control list, which only supports public IP addresses. In addition, Service Gateway can also be used as a way to access autonomous databases. For details, see: How To Make Your Autonomous Database Even More Secure Using Network ACLs.
At the end of November, VCN-based control was added. At this point, the whitelist supports Public IP, CIDR, VCN, and VCN (OCID) categories.
Cloning
Features released in March 2019 are divided into Full Clone (with data) and Metadata Clone. Essentially a clone of PDB.
Note: Can only be cloned to the same region of the same tenant.
