- not building assets of your own

- putting your finances last in your list

- saving instead of investing

- not advocating for yourself

- not protecting your inheritance

- NOT SEEKING FINANCIAL ADVICE : There is a much value in having a trusted relationship with your financial adviser. It is not necessary to have the same financial adviser as your spouse's. Find an adviser who engages you, speaks to you, understands you and guides you.
