These are some game ideas we're having.
Batteganz Games has been around officially for just under six years. We’ve made a few games (around sixteen) but we haven’t sold any. The goal for this company is to become the first black-owned Triple-A games company in existence.
That is not an easy goal to achieve, especially considering that there are no prominent games companies at all in the United States that have a black owner. Maybe I’m bighting off more than I can chew? These are ten of the games ideas that have been floating around in my head for the past few years. In no particular order:
Bomberman meets Metal Gear Solid: This is a game that I invented when playing Operation Flashpoint (the original; yes, I’m that old). It was lots of fun to play then.
Arithmomania game: I suffer from arithmomania, and I thought that it would be nice to have a game that was specifically designed to help people cope with the disease better.
Unorthodox sports game: I don’t know what this sport will be based off of: Football? Soccer? Boxing? Will it be a “completely” original sport that has no obvious parallels? Contemplation.
Truck Football: This one is a cross between my favorite Gamecube Game, SM: Warzones, and the Starsiege Tribes football mod. Smuggler’s Run was my favorite game on the Nintendo Gamecube.
Battleganz RPG: I’ve made some RPG-like games in the past, but I really wanted to pull out all the stops for this one. I really want this to be spectacular.
Battleganz Fighting Game: I’ve never tried to make a fighting game. I was a rather big fan of the Mugen modular fighting game when it first came out. We’ll see.

Battleganz Music Game: I love music. I’m listening to Jazzmasters 4 as I write this. Music has always been a part of my life. A music game would be transformational.
Battleganz? Board Game: Yes, we will be making physical board games, too. I would love to make the next Monopoly or Chess or whatever is to be made more fun.
Battleganz Trading Card Game: The venerable Nintendo got its start in playing cards. It then transitioned to the Pokemon trading card game. I haven’t played it, but the show rocked!
Battleganz Hidden Object Game: I’ll be honest. I’m not the best at games like Myst and Syberia. But I do find them to be very enjoyable. Though I rarely play.
This would be so much easier if I would just hire someone with the skills and tools and just let them do most of the heavy lifting. I’m probably not able to create all these games myself. Even if I could, the customers deserve better.
I want my customers to feel as though the best talents in the world went into my games. I may not unseat Nintendo, which is at least a hundred years old, but I at least want to strive to create something that is fun to play and that runs well. This early planning should help.
