Some career paths are patched together like a Quilt

I have heard so much lately about when you are changing careers that you want to piece together your journey on paper, like a quilt. Some people have paths are straight and narrow and others like mine are patched together like a quilt. I'm sure most employers want an employee that has a straight and narrow career path, but I feel that even your career like your life is like a journey and sometimes the journey is the path less taken and patched together through pieces of time and your history.
My career journey has led me down many interesting places and times that I could not replace in the history of me. For example, in Colorado Springs, I worked in a real estate office as a Property Management Assistant/Receptionist for 3 days a week. I got the opportunity to job share which meant working intently with another individual who shared the same position I did. I also got to look out my window of my office at Pikes Peak every day that I went to work. The job, itself, was purely administrative and routine, but the people and the experience, is irreplaceable in my journey.
Recently, since I have been piecing together my quilt of my job history, I'm realizing how much I accomplished in my diverse career path and yes this is the largest gap of not being employed that I have. However, what this means to me, is that I have job-related career goals that I am passionate about achieving in the future. I realize that this time of reflection, while I'm piecing together my quilt can lead me back to the beginning where my expertise and other passions lie (administrative professional) to fulfill my need to work, achieve financial independence, while exploring all my future life and career goals.
Going back to the basics or the beginning doesn't mean the end of a dream, it means the continuation and reinvention of yourself to be the best you have ever been.
I am confident that I will achieve all my career and life goals because I have achieved so many within the last year. I am unstoppable and fearless in quilting the career of my dreams.
