Some Career options of today
Often, I get queries from my old class-mates, juniors and many others about the various career options which are available in today's world. So I decided to go one-by-one briefing about the ones that I am aware of.
Since I work only on App-Based start-ups, which I believe are the foundation of the modern era, I will not be talking about MNCs etc. However, most startups do not care which degree you hold (B.Sc, B.A, B.Com etc) until you are good at your work.
Starting with the technical profiles:
1. Front End Developer: One who designs the website
2. Android Developer: One who programs the Android App, naturally
3. iOS Developer: One who programs the iOS App, obviously
4. BackEnd Developer: One who manages all the back-end operations going on database etc, and the program/logic behind sending and receiving the data from server to client (on App/Website).
Semi Technical Profiles:
1. Tester: One who finds the bugs in new releases of App/Website and reports it to the programmers. Needs knowledge of programming upto moderate level
2. Product Manager: One who is responsible for betterment of product. Needs Programming knowledge again.
3. UX/UX: One who is responsible for the "feel" that users get while operating the product (from logical side): works with the UI/UX designer to implement

Non-Tech Profiles
1. Marketing Executive: One who runs Facebook-Advert Campaigns or Google Adword Campaigns for user acquisition. Now-a-days, Marketing executives are further divided into the following:
- Facebook Marketing Executive
- Google Adwords Executive
- Twitter Executive
- E-Mail Marketing & SMS Marketing Campaigns
Note that companies still prefer one person to have all these skills, but sometimes when budget is big enough, they might hire individuals for individual profiles.
2. Marketing Manager: One who prepares the strategy for all the Marketing Campaigns, including the digital (FB, Google etc), offline campaigns, Incent Activity (Google "media buying"), also E-Mail Marketing Campaigns and SMS Campaigns.

4. HR (Human Resource): One who is responsible for recruitment (acquisition of new talent for company), maintaining good atmosphere within company, and sometimes also responsible for compiling salary of all employees.
5. CRM: Customer Relationship Management: One who replies to reviews of users on play store and Facebook and other digital properties, and put efforts to with hold and further improve the reputation of the company by any means necessary
6. Campus Ambassador: One who is responsible to expand the network of the company in order to reach more users with personalized touch. They usually reach out to one person in each campus (company or college) and pitch them to become the representative of the company/app and hence represent the company to his/her colleagues for some small incentives.
7. Designer: One who is responsible to design the creative of company, such as Ads, posters, User Interface, banners etc
8. Content Writer: One who takes care of the content of website, Ads, social media etc.
9. Business Developer: One who expands the professional relations of company by reaching out to other companies with proposal of mutually beneficial relationship.
10. Growth Hacker: Essentially a marketeer, someone who is responsible for mainly two things: user acquisition and data-based decision making for the company. They have to be creative, with out of the box thinking capability that would fasten the growth of company, by means that are not commonly practised. (Referral program was one of such awesome ideas, that has become very common now though)
11. Analytic: Someone who basically keeps tabs on figures of errors, events, logs etc. and figures out actionable insights. (Tools are Google Analytic, MixPanel, Facebook Analytic etc)
That's it for now. There are other profiles as well. but I think I have mentioned all the major ones, which I have come across. If you wish me to list more of them, I will perhaps do some research of my own and do it for you. Do give me feedback as it will help me in improvising. Thanks for reading!
