Some call it luck, some prefer hard work to achieve it, regardless, success never happens overnight. The secret to success lies in sheer dedication & headstrong devotion to your goals.
Hailing from Varanasi, Prakhar's journey from a mere average student to being the first employee at a start-up to the position of Vice-president of the same company will surely motivate your spirits.
"I completed my schooling in a missionary school St. John's at Varanasi. Later, for college, I shifted to Bangalore and graduated with a?B.Sc?in?Biotechnology.
As?a student, I was mostly an average one all throughout my school. During my college days, I topped my batch in 2nd Semester but realized it wouldn't change a thing. After my graduation, I realized that science wasn't really my field of interest, rather, I was fascinated by the hustle & startup culture in Bangalore."
Prakhar cracked the management entrance exams and grabbed himself a seat at Jain College in Bangalore. During his MBA, his passion for being a part of the entrepreneurship world grew more substantial.
"I did various small businesses while in my master's program, and created an income source. Besides handling my studies, I looked up several ways to be a part of the marketing management field via college fests, sponsorships for events, or something equivalent.

At Whatfix, we started from a small garage office space; I used to handle, what is at present 5-6 departments from SDR to AE to Legal to AR at a comparatively smaller scale. Over time, we realized that we needed to hire people with certain specializations so as to achieve our growth. As time passed by, our company grew from 4 to 700+ customers, expanding into 7 different countries with a net revenue of millions."
Prakhar has completed his nine years of journey with Whatfix. He began as the Inside Sales Lead as a fresh joiner and is now the VP at Whatfix, handling 60+ Account Executives.
