SOMALILAND GOVERNMEN AND NATIONAL PARTIES LEADERSHIP REACHED A CONSENSUS AGREEMENT AT SOMALILAND PRESIDENTIAL PALACE MEETING TO NIGHT

Hargeisa-16-05-2022 - The President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Muse Bihi Abdi and the Somaliland National Parties leaderships have held an important meeting at the Presidential Palace tonight in Hargeisa. The two sides agreed to jointly commemorate Somaliland's 31st anniversary on May 18th.

It was also agreed that another meeting will be held to discuss forthcoming elections in Somaliland. 

The meeting was attended by the two Opposition Leaders Presidential Candidates,Minister of religious Affairs, Somaliland activities.

The Minister of Interior Hon. Mohamed Ahmed Kahin also as 1st Chairman of the ruling Kulmiye Party and speaking on behalf the Opposition Parties, Wadani Opposition Party Chairman Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan also addressed the gathering, saying that the meeting was a success, spoke at the meeting about the meeting and its importance for the nation.

On the other hand, two senior politicians Hon. Abdillahi Mohamed Dahir (Cukuse) and Hon. Ali Mohamed Waranadde, who have held ministerial positions, spoke about the meeting and the  importance of reaching agreement for the sake of  Somaliland.

At the end of the meeting, the two chairmen of the opposition party, the second vice chairman of the Kulmiye party who attended the meeting told press Conference that a national consensus agreement has been reached and the Nation will celebrate in one unified celebration to commemorate Somaliland's 31st anniversary on May 18th.
