Probably the biggest complaint we hear about OpenAI's ChatGPT is that it can "make stuff up" and present it as a confident fact. Although I could argue that this is actually a common human trait, it is not ideal. This has caused many people to say that it is not ready for commercial use. Google lost $100b because it got 1 answer wrong in its ad announcing its imminent release. However, I think I have a strong argument that ChatGPT is ready, with limited use cases, for commercial use today.
Many companies already set up old-school chatbots that answer predefined questions with some success - success that often comes with customer frustration.? So these have been useful but time-consuming to set up and costly to maintain and extend.?
ChatGPT can quickly, cheaply, easily replace these corporate chatbots TODAY.
Here’s the TLDR:
You can use ChatGPT like a human interface to a large (or small) set of documents and easily limit its responses to the content of these documents.?
How?
