The Last Mile Delivery Challenge

The eyes of business: domestic & global, shipper & provider, are focused on the fastest growing field of logistics - Last Mile Delivery (LMD). The greatest challenge of this new field is meeting ever-growing demand for B2C deliveries - with a shrinking delivery base. Most LMD providers are adding personal vehicle owner/drivers and owner-operators to their pools to meet crushing demand - but there's a problem. As economies recover from the worst of Covid, non-employee drivers are returning to the original work force. How do providers do more with less?

Upgrade Your Pricing Game - Sophisticated pricing software gives LMD providers tools to hold onto drivers with driver cost auto-adjustments (like compensation for rising driver fuel expenses, after-hour requests and inclement weather conditions). These auto-adjustments not only re-build diminishing driver pools, they give leadership more accurate, real-time assessment of daily costs - before EOM reports.

Divide And Conquer - All customers are not created equal - and LMD pricing can leverage that truth. Sophisticated pricing software helps LMD providers segment their customer base to maximize profit (like auto-price-modifications based upon regional Consumer Price Index (CPI) or Time of Day (TOD) order placement). Simplistic pricing apps rely instead on static one-size-fits-all pricing tables.

The eyes of business are focused on LMD. Sophisticated pricing tools are essential to keep that focus sharp and crystal clear.
