Solving the Greatest Problems of Our Times

Solving the Greatest Problems of Our Times

After working for several decades on some of the most fraught problems of our time –poverty, health, and energy and conflict regulation-I had realized that we can’t solve such problems precisely because they affect everyone. We hadn’t evolved ways of connecting to all those affected by our plans and programs. Our representative democracies were not fine-tuned enough to really give everyone a voice on those matters that affected their lives.

I was working on Part 3 of my LinkedIn efforts in this direction. I had hoped to complete it in several weeks but after many months it was only now beginning to take shape (hopefully to be posted this week). I was drafting the lines above when I received a Facebook post from my great nephew, Ben Jones who was giving us his demonstration of his personal approach. He had graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Politics and International Relations. He had spent several years visiting more than 70 hotspots of the world to develop his understanding of the issues of our time and find his voice to express those insights and help others do the same.

Have a look at this brief video and sign up to encourage his efforts and follow the results of his approach.
