Solving the browser tabs problem

I must admit that I have never had the problem of millions of open tabs in the browser, so I will share my method in case it can be useful to someone.
- First, you don't need one browser window open, you need two, one on each side of the screen or one on each screen (I recommend Spectacle for Mac, free, https://www.spectacleapp.com/ to use keyboard shortcuts to position windows using keyboard shortcuts).
- One browser window is for query documentation, the other, for performing actions.
- I focus on a single task. I don't leave tabs "for later" or "to remember something I have to do". That's what To Do is for, or mails marked "unread" in Outlook.

- In documents that need different "views" I clone the tab and create those views.
- If, for whatever reason (although I am strongly against this) I have to do two things "at once", I create a new desktop, new browser windows, and a separate space for that task
- Once the task is finished, I close all windows and start again: New task, new windows. The creation of this new workspace I even have it automated with an application that chains keyboard shortcuts, so that using a keyboard shortcut it creates the two browser windows, positions them side by side on the screens (in my case, a single 50-inch screen).
BTW, why a single 50 inch screen instead of two screens, for example? Our type of work involves working with long lists in spreadsheets or listings in a CMS. With a screen this big I avoid an unnecessary amount of scrolling (have you noticed how much time we spend scrolling up/down for information? We need "vertical space"!!) You don't need to buy an expensive computer screen: Explore the 4K TV market. In recent years, these TVs have become an excellent option to "pure" computer monitors, they offer comparable quality in many cases and are considerably cheaper.

2 年Great stuff Carlos! And I might also recommend Toby ?? (a free addon for Chrome). It's great for organizing your browser tabs and accessing them from anywhere.
