Solver and Data Integration Dynamics GP

With Dynamics GP, you already have access to the native financial reporting available with Management Reporter and ad hoc querying using SmartList tools. Dynamics GP also has basic budgeting functionality. Companies will typically evaluate a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution like Solver when they outgrow the native functionality in Dynamics GP, or when they are looking to upgrade from manual Excel models. They may also choose to upgrade from another CPM tool to ensure better integration with Dynamics GP.

Solver is part of Microsoft’s Gold independent software vendor (ISV) program and have developed two Dynamics GP connectors over many years and with feedback from thousands of Dynamics GP customers.

The Corporate Performance Management (CPM) suite offers two different Dynamics GP connectors ensuring effortless CPM integration for all customers:

• Dynamics GP Cloud Connector: Enables automated loading of data into Solver from any module in GP. The integration connects the Solver Cloud application to the GP SQL database using Solver’s secure Gateway application.
• Dynamics GP Hybrid Connector: This unique technology enables Live reporting from Solver Cloud with a direct connection into your on-premises or hosted Dynamics GP database.

In addition to benefitting from Solver’s advanced planning, reporting, and consolidations functionality, Dynamics GP customers can also use Solver’s Power BI connectors to deliver pre-structured data to this visualisation tool and dramatically speed up deployment of dashboards.

Furthermore, as Dynamics GP customers consider a migration to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain or Business Central, Solver can simplify the migration to the new ERP by also serving as a data store for any number of years of historical data from Dynamics GP, thus reducing the effort to convert historical data and reducing the need to keep the old Dynamics GP system running.
