PET/AL/NYLON/RCPP 4-layer material lamination in one pass

Now most of us are familiar with solventless lamination technology. It has experienced more than 10 years of rapid development in China, In 2007, Sinomech presented the first China-made solventless laminating machine for two-layer lamination. in 2015, we developed a triplex laminator for three-layer plastic and plastic materials. In 2021, Sinomech launched the first vertical triplex laminator at Chinaplas, it solved the problem of the three-layer lamination structures with aluminum foil, then the triplex laminating machines become a hot spot in the industry.

But some customer is asking: Most of our lamination structures are with four layers, and your triplex seems to not be able to perfectly solve my problem. So, today we bring the quadplex laminating machine.

This is the world's first quadplex solventless laminating machine. its maximum lamination speed is 400m/min, and its maximum width is 1.3m. It can be used as a 4-layer lamination in one pass. it also can be used as a triplex laminator or duplex laminator.

The material we are going to laminate onsite is PET/AL/NYLON/RCPP. The PET printing layout design this time is a layered version with a full-page white background. the ink thickness difference reaches 3 um. According to our experience over the years, this is the most difficult structure for solventless lamination.

Our Quadplex has the following main advantages:

1) Suitable for the most complex multilayer structure of flexible packaging: four layers of lamination can be completed in one feeding.

2) Two-layer, three-layer, and four-layer jobs can be laminated in one pass and it is easy to switch between different modes. You can use one machine to handle all your lamination structures.

3) This machine combines all features of our vertical and horizontal Triplex laminator realizing the integration and improvement of the advantages of two different triplex.

4) For different lamination structures, the best selection of technology can be realized through the transformation of substrate unwinding position, material feeding path, and lamination benchmark.

5)With specially designed multiple lamination units, lamination results can be guaranteed for multi-layer jobs.

6) The patented online exhaust device can greatly reduce the probability of bubble generation and expansion at the multi-layer lamination joints.

7) The revolutionary same-base horizontal registration technology, which is different from conventional web guiding systems, makes multi-layer alignment convenient and fast, significantly shortening the preparation time and reducing wastage.

8) New designed mixer is with a special preheating system, the freshly filled glue can be preheated automatically and then directed to the working area. Which can eliminate the hidden risk caused by cold glue filled into the glue tank. It is a major principle innovation of the metering mixer.

9) The information and management system of the whole machine is open and powerful, which is the first choice for users in digital workshops and smart factories

For different layouts of printed PET with ALfoll lamination, we have done a lot of process tests, especially for 4-layer lamination. Our conclusion is that the lamination speed can reach 150 m/min for simple layout design, and for most complicated designs, the speed can go to 120 m/min for real production

When this machine is working for 2-layer jobs. it is just like a standard model A400. which stands on the other side of both. the max lamination speed is 400m/min

When this machine is working for 3-layer jobs, It has two working modes. One is a horizontal triplex, which is suitable for jobs with metalized films or papers as the middle layer; the other is a Vertical triplex, which is suitable for jobs with Al foil as the middle layer.

As you can see, our upper unwinder for Al foil is running very smoothly at all speed stages, even when the speed is only 10 m/min. That shows the accuracy of our machine.
