Solutions, not problems.

Solutions, not problems.

At the Intertribal Agriculture Council, we believe in working with our communities to implement their solutions. Verna Billadeaux, FRTEP Agent serving the Blackfeet Nation in MT reached out to us to discuss just such a solution.

COVID-19 is upending the plans of many aspiring young ag producers all across Indian Country. Typically, this is the time for Tribal and county fairs where their animal husbandry skills, genetic research, and commitment to agriculture are recognized through market livestock shows and auctions.

While we normally support these efforts through the bidding process, that opportunity wasn't to be this year. Our solution? Read about it here!

Don't forget, our farmers and ranchers continue to wait for the implementation of COVID-19 solutions that could preserve their ability to feed us all. Find out what you can do to help them as well at https://www.indianag.org/farmranchhelp.

If you'd like to contribute to Food 4 Families, or to find out more about the Farmer Rancher Loan Relief proposal, or any of the solutions we're working on at the IAC, do not hesitate to call me at 605-222-3852.
