Solution Day at Surat Startups

Yesterday I had the opportunity to share stage with Chirag Patel (Co-Founder - Strafix Consulting) and Paritosh Sharma (GM of Digital Desh) on the Surat Startup event called "SOLUTION DAY"

The idea of "SOLUTION DAY" was that Startups could come and pitch their problems and the panelist who had built their own startups or have expertise in business had to provide solutions.

Four Startups pitched their problems related to growth, marketing, sales, and designs. They had about 5 to 6 minutes to explain their Start-Ups along with the top questions they had. Then we the panelist gave them the best ideas we could base on best of our abilities.

These Startups are themselves very interesting.

DEALBOX: They have a deal in a box. If you are in Surat then you should download their app on Android Phone. As a foodie or entertainment seeker, you will find wonderful deals on their app. The app is currently restricted to Surat and Android but the deals are really great. TITTER: They are a fashion brand with a cause. They make simple T-Shirts with great design, good quality, and most important a cause. You can find them on Facebook, Instagram or other social networks. Corporates are their biggest takers. But slowly and surely they are entering into direct retail with T-Shirts for a cause. You should be on a lookout because someday the T-Shirt you liked would certainly from them.

SIRF SAMOSA: They make 25 different kinds of Samosa. I thought what could you do differently with a Samosa. The same potato or peas and some masala wrapped in thin crust and deep fried, there your Samosa is ready. But I was surprised. I had about 3 to 4 different varieties of Sirf Samosas from their various events. I must say they have put a variety in Samosas. Amazing taste.

STAR: They are a group led by the famous TEDx Speaker from Surat, Sunny Kabrawala. He is building Rockets, Satellites, and his vision is Space Travel. At this age, I feel that he is a legend in making. There are very few active people actually making something related to space. I was just trying to find who is our SPACE Travel Minister. It seems there is no one. So we need a Minister of Space Travel and also a person who can help such people in building their dreams. 

Each one of them had different questions. And I think the three of us did justice with our ideas. Each one of us was speaking from our own experience in building our businesses or supporting other businesses that we had been working with. 

Personally, I think each startup has their goals & tasks cut out from them. I wish each startup best of luck and want to see what they could do and where they got stuck.
