This month we are paying extra attention to the cleaning of peas. With a machine layout such as this, both light and floating impurities are removed from the product flow. This process is very product friendly.
First the vertical air cleaner removes the light parts, then the flotation ensures that also floating impurities are separated. By opting for an internal filter drum, the water consumption of this process remains limited.
Vertical air cleaner
The vertical air cleaner of Constructie Bruynooghe has several doors in the decompression cage. This ensures smooth cleaning and inspection.
An infeed shaker ensures that the product is brought evenly into the vertical air cleaner. The upward airflow blows light impurities out of the product flow. The waste is discharged by means of a screw or chute.
Flotation / Separating floating parts
As foreseen in this setup, the flotation separates the floating parts of the peas.
This machine combination can also be used for washed, small carrots. In this case the flotation funnel functions as a buffer. The conveyor belt of the flotation is a modular dewatering belt with cleats. This ensures a product friendly operation.
Internal filter drum
Saving water is becoming increasingly important. By connecting a filter drum and water tank to the flotation, the process water can be recuperated several times. In this example, we opted for an internal filter drum. A screw ribbon inside removes the dirt, the spray tube keeps the drum clean.
If you want a finer filtration, choose an external filter drum or a combination of both. Our sales team will help you make the right choice!
