Position Summary:
As a Solution Architect, you will help shape how Technology Services at F5 implements Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and processes that accelerate the pace of New Product Introduction (NPI). The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems, a deep understanding of how complex products are designed, developed, and serviced, and experience with solution development in those contexts. This position will also serve to promote best practices and internal business processes with relation to change management and general NPI functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Be a Solution advisor and be responsible to envision and architect for New Product Launch Introduction.
- Bring in broader thought leadership on Digital transformation and existing/new architecture to future proof the solution.
- Find the best tech solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems and create/document Solution/Epic design for the Value Stream.
- Convince business SMEs on the architected solution.
- Own and drive POC/Spike efforts.
- Ensure technical integration ability of the solution across multiple applications involved.
- Identify, understand and coordinate efforts that have cross team dependencies/impacts.
- Own platform standards and ensure compliance.
- Develop and evolve platform or domain roadmap and portfolio
- Be an Agile development thought leader, driving continuous improvement of our development capabilities.
- Experience in driving system architectural discussions and driving a scalable platform development
- Participate in Solution Architecture Community of Practice.
- Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
- Partnering with our business system analyst team, troubleshoot and provide solutions for production issues.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 10 years of deep technical work experience in one or more IT areas including but not limited to the following:
- IT architecture, infrastructure, and development
- Engineering and software architecture design
- Business analysis
- 8+ years of experience in building and implementing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Systems.
- Strong PLM solution architecture experience with proven abilities in defining and delivering scalable and sustainable solution architecture in large PLM implementation programs
- Experience working with multiple, large enterprise platforms like Salesforce, CPQ, Oracle, etc.
- In Depth knowledge of SaaS and Cloud subscription-based business model
- Experienced with Web Services (SOAP and Restful), Microservices and API
- Strong software development background utilizing Cloud-based technologies, distributed programming and object-oriented programming constructs
- Experienced with manipulating large datasets across heterogeneous systems
- Experienced with Data Integration technologies and solution
- Solid understanding of business processes and how technology can enhance and improve these processes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, communication, planning, problem solving, trouble shooting, facilitation and organization skills.
- Strong influencing, coaching, mentoring and leadership skills
- Deep analytical skills and detail oriented
