In Solidarity With Our Immigrant Community
Dear Friends,
Weaver Schlenger LLP stands in solidarity with our employer and immigrant clients in the wake of yesterday’s presidential election. We condemn the anti-immigrant rhetoric used during this election season and understand that a second Trump presidency will have significant implications for immigration law and policy. We can expect possible travel bans, challenges with visa issuance at Consulates abroad, a more restrictive interpretation of existing immigration law, and more.
As seasoned immigration lawyers, we stand at the ready to fight for our clients so that our employers can continue to hire and retain the highly skilled workers they need to succeed. We will also actively engage in immigration advocacy both locally and nationally to improve the rights of, treatment of, and respect for immigrants. As immigration law becomes more complicated, our deep knowledge and experience will become even more important. We feel honored to serve as trusted counsel to our employer clients and their talented foreign national employees.
We will be hosting a complimentary webinar in the coming days to discuss the impact of the election on immigration. Please join us for this discussion with Partners Mary Jane Weaver , Kirsten Schlenger , and Katy Lopez on November 20 at 10 am PST. Register now
