Solidarity Across Borders – A What We Value Project

RockCorps is proud to support the Deutsche Telekom Platform, “What We Value” in recruiting volunteer leaders under 30yrs old from across Europe. We met so many inspiring visionaries, here is one of their stories.

Schüler*innen Helfen Leben is an annual day of activism where students across Germany show solidarity across borders – promoting openness, understanding and empathy.

Young people from all over Germany change their classroom for a job they want to do for a day and donate their salary towards social projects. Over €30 million has been raised by the Social Day so far.Tthis money has been used to rebuild schools and youth centres after the war in Yugoslavia, support youth organisations and projects for an open society / against nationalism as well as providing emergency aid for refugees from Ukraine and Syria.
