The Solicitor's Prayer

Help me O Lord, to have clarity on the instructions received;

Grant me the inspiration to add the best value to my client;

Guide me so that I may come up with the best legal structure

For my client's transaction and achieve my client's objectives.

In actualising my client's commercial objectives timeously;

Give me wisdom to offer best advice to my client at all times;

Help me so I may have substantial number of billable hours;

So that my client may handsomely pay my professional fees.

Teach me how I can assist my client in closing the transaction;

Help me so I can achieve great wins for my client at all times;

Make me a darling of my client so I can get more instructions;

Guide me so I can help my client avoid litigation at all times.

Steer me away from professional negligence or misconduct;

Help me to have enough insurance cover to cover any mishap;

Take away anything that may destroy the goodwill I have built;

Give me peace on all fronts so that I may give my best always.
