SOLD! The story of this flip...

We SOLD this house! This isn't just any old house, this was our largest Flip project to date (will likely be the largest one we ever do). Wow, what a journey this house has been on. We purchased the home in mid 2018. It was in desperate need of a transformation. It was piled high with trash, very unsanitary (had to cover your nose to walk through), had multiple additions that weren't permitted or to code, a converted attic space that wasn't safe and trees in the front yard to where you could hardly see the home. The backyard was a jungle piled high of weeds.

Before we could do anything we had to get the trash out of the house. It took 9 dumpsters just to clear it out (not construction debris - just trash). Once that was complete and we could see it bare, we were able to work with an architect to bring my design to life. Modern farmhouse here we come!

We raised the roof on this project - literally. Took the roof up higher to make the unsafe attic conversion into a second story - done right. It was brought back to the studs - all the plumbing redone, electrical, systems, everything - the only thing that remained mostly the same was the original 4 walls. A crane had to come in order to remove the tree in the front yard - it was HUGE. It was such a big tree but it had to go before it ruined the home.

We learned A LOT! This project got our blood, sweat and tears literally! I got to get a pink hardhat to wear onsite (it's the little things). When flipping homes it is much more than what HGTV shows. The flips we did prior to this were much smaller. I am not sure if we will want to continue on with such large scale renovations but if the right home presents itself - never say never!
