The Belgian city of Liège is set to take a significant step toward sustainable urban transport, as Solaris secures a tender to supply 45 double-articulated Urbino 24 electric buses for Wallonia’s regional transport network, TEC. This order marks Solaris's largest win for double-articulated buses to date, with the first 18 units already on order.
A New Era for Urban Mobility in Belgium
The 24-meter Urbino electric buses, known for their unique MetroStyle design, will bring high passenger capacity and zero-emission transport to Liège. Designed specifically for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems, these buses are equipped to handle high-frequency routes while enhancing the quality of life for city residents by reducing urban emissions.

Did you know? The 24-meter Solaris model was first unveiled at Busworld Europe 2019 and was developed exclusively for zero-emission vehicles. To date, Solaris has delivered 50 double-articulated units, including electric models in Aalborg, Denmark, and trolleybuses for Prague and Bratislava.
