SoftwareCentral 6.2 is here!
Microsoft stated at MS Ignite 2019, intune and Configuration Manager merged into Microsoft Endpoint Manager, the license for Co-managed Windows devices, became available without any cost.
SoftwareCentral focus on simplifying daily client operation, they have developed integration to intune. This means that companies can benefit of the simplified management of both Configuration Manager and Intune devices in one console. As for Servicedesk does not need the knowledge of where the device is managed.
In version 6.2 SoftwareCentral will add support for Microsoft Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager. The Intune integration must be enabled and configured from the settings menu as described here: https://softwarecentral.cloud/Help/en-GB/webframe.html#IntuneConfiguration.html
SoftwareCentral uses your security delegations from Intune, so users that already has access to the Intune- / Endpoint Manager portal will be up and running immediately.
From SoftwareCentral it is possible to see and manage Intune devices via the new interface Intune Devices. From here users can see and manage all Intune managed devices.
When clicking on a device, users can see detailed information about each device and perform device actions such as wipe, remote lock, delete, sync and much more. Focus is daily operations to ease and simplify daily workflows.
What do you else need in order to manage on daily basis?
Software Deployment!
From manage software in SoftwareCentral it is now possible to manage software on Intune devices. Here the integration is seamless. Users can select Intune devices from the computer drop-down menu. SoftwareCentral users will not see any difference between Intune and Configuration Manager managed devices.
The available software menu will only present software available for the selected device type.
- iOS devices will for instance only be able to install iOS apps.
- Windows devices will only see windows apps.
Hope you are as thrilled as we are about these new features. Go ahead and download the new version already available today.
