Software Development Pakistan, a starter path for Software Developers

Getting into software development, finding a career path for yourself, trying to explore what the world of Computer Science and Software Engineering has got to offer you has been a wild and long journey for me personally.

I've tried experimenting with,

1. Game Development
2. Web Development
3. Data Science
4. A little bit of Android
5. Solution Architect role and paths

And my journey is still on going. There has been so much along the path to get to where I am, a lot of awesome things that I've experienced, a lot of fantastic and growth focused individuals that I have met that really make me feel very positive about the work I'm doing and the potential I have within me to keep going.

That path is has led me into my 5th semester at FAST NUCES, as an undergrad who recently became a junior, with far more to work and think on in the coming months and years. I've recently met many sophomores and freshmen at my University, asking me about my experiences and what problems I had along with the way. At the same time at around May of this year, I was lucky enough to become a moderator for @Software Development Pakistan, a Facebook group dedicated to being a page for developers, by developers, sharing their thoughts, queries, and suggestions for people coming into the Computer Science / Software Engineering field.

The Journey So Far

Coupled with these two experiences, I, along with Azeem Akhter and Muneeb Ul Hassan, decided to launch and developer softdevpk.com, a website dedicated to offering career paths and different resources meant to getting started with the different possible paths in the field. These paths currently include,

1. Android Development
2. Solution Architect
3. Cloud Development
4. Data Science
5. DevOps
6. Network Security
7. Game Development
8. Software Development
9. Web Development

Some of these are empty, while some of these have detailed written content. We made the idea in hopes that people, students, and industry related workers would invest in the idea of creating guidelines and roadmaps for juniors to help the community as a whole, and much more clearly, we would definitely love contributions from developers willing to contribute

Apart from that, there is a location for 'Learning Resources' meant to serve as a list of quick links to get your started very quickly, and is intended to act as a reference.
