Software Development Leader, AWS, python (REMOTE)

We have been retained by our client in Dallas, Texas to deliver a Software Development Leader on a regular full-time, direct-hire basis, and this is a fully remote work opportunity but occasional meetings in north Dallas will be required.

The Software Development Leader will be responsible for leading the software development team in producing performant, scalable, and stable software engineering, as well provide guidance on development best practices and programming standards to an existing cutting edge software application/platform provided to customers as a software as a service. This includes providing guidance on software development of applications and platforms with some global, offshore resources, including python/Django development, AWS cloud architecture, AWS CI/CD, database development, web/mobile app development, programming standards creation and coding standards guidance to offshore and local development teams.?Report to the CTO and partner with the Architect, DevOps, Quality Assurance, and Product leadership teams.

Responsibilities:

Work with the local team, and lead a global team of engineers accountable for the platform design, development, and support.

Develop enterprise collaboration tools and/or implement industry leading solutions that integrate with company workflows.

Responsible for the modernization of enterprise applications and access data anywhere via cloud through mobile technologies.

Partner with the development team leads to create and provide guidance of programming standards, best practices for the development teams..

Assist with staffing and resource assignments.

Manage multiple international projects in a fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in software development, and at least 1+ year of experience leading a team of software developers.

Strong knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS or Azure), and CI CD.?(AWS is used here.)?Comfortable in DevOps / Container based environments, and cloud architecture.

Knowledge of web and mobile architecture, design and development.

Python experience, including some full stack python applications development experience.

Relational database experience.

Working with GIT.

JavaScript and React knowledge.?Django is a plus.?React Native is a plus. ?Flask is a plus.

Employment Type:??Direct Hire, regular full-time.

Salary Range:??$130,000 to 150,000 per year salary
