Sofie Says: Jun 25, 2024

Hey guys, what's up and welcome back to my channel. This week, we've got another issue of Sofie Says with five things I liked from the previous week. Let's get into it.

1. This song. Phew.
2. The other day I was thinking about how grateful I am to work for myself, for the freedom it allows me in my day. I've been feeling a bit more tired than usual these days, and have been allowing myself a little more grace in slowness to move through my days and my mornings to recoup some energy. I hope I never take for granted the power and position I have to wake up generally when I want and make plans as I please. I'm grateful my marketing career took me here.
3. Just bought a metal detector for my summer activity. Get ready for all my finds.
4. Rearranged my entire living room earlier this week to make the cats stop sulking around their new cat tree, and suddenly they're using it again. Turns out that all they needed was a location day. That said, I recently bought a new couch and rearranging the living room has really changed the vibe of my apartment and gives the new couch a way better chance to shine. Love the change right now.
5. Aaaand finally, just excited and happy that the weather is finally starting to get better here in Toronto and I can enjoy more time outside. I'm more of an evening worker myself, if I'm honest, so spending the days outside and evenings inside at my laptop is perfect for me.

In the meantime, I'm working on a lot of internal restructuring at Sofie Does Everything Inc. . It's been an interesting challenge to work alongside someone and to shift things around, pivot, change direction, and feel just a general shift in the air with both the company and the direction I want it to be heading in. I feel like I've been working in online marketing for so long, and am looking for a way to start applying these skills in more IRL ways. Realistically, I'm looking to work with way more businesses, retail stores, and physical products/items. This is likely what I'll be looking to focus on as I continue to revamp our agency's internal processes and systems. Sometimes, mistakes happen and fall between the cracks, and I want to make sure this stops being a thing. I'm working on it, and giving myself some grace to keep learning at the same time.
