Sofidel has been highlighted in the “Europe’s Climate Leaders 2024” list, compiled by the Financial Times in collaboration with data provider Statista, for its outstanding contribution to emissions reductions. Sofidel’s inclusion in this list is due to its achievement of “the largest reduction in its core emissions intensity between 2017 and 2022.” Click to learn more.

  • Manufacturer increases tissue paper prices by up to 10%

Tissue manufacturers’ operating costs have increased recently due to several global macroeconomic challenges, most notably the increase in pulp prices. Against this backdrop, The Navigator Company, a Portuguese pulp and paper company and one of the country’s leading tissue paper producers, announced an 8% to 10% increase in tissue prices in all markets where it operates.   • Essity reports first quarter 2024 interim report

Essity reported a solid first quarter, with increased margins in all three of its business areas. Volume growth, excluding restructuring, was positive, supporting the company’s focus on increasing volume and gaining market share with good profitability. During the period, Essity received significant proceeds from the sale of Vinda shares, strengthening its balance sheet. Learn more details.

  • Kimberly-Clark Professional? announces Greenovation 2024 Awards

Kimberly-Clark Professional? has announced the recipients of the Greenovation 2024 Awards, recognizing 56 companies for their commitment to sustainability. These companies collectively diverted 419,689 pounds of personal protective equipment from landfills in 2023 through The RightCycle? program, which enables the recycling of single-use items. Since its inception in 2011, this program has diverted more than 5.5 million pounds of waste from landfills. Click to learn more.
