"Sodium Sulphate Anhydrous" versus "Sodium chloride" in Textile Industry
Tradeasia International
We are a global leading supply chain provider for all raw materials.
Salts they are the used in textile industry as leveling agents during dyeing they play small but essential part in textile industry during dyeing.
salts plays three crucial role in dyeing-
- To drive dye into textile during dyeing.
- Maximize exhaustion of dye molecules.
- Act as a electrolyte for migration, absorption & fixation of the dyestuff to the cellulose material.
SSA and sodium chloride has same role but SSA has great advantages in dyeing over any other salts. But nowadays SSA in replacing the market demand of sodium chloride due to its long list of benefits.
- SSA gives higher depth than common salt.
- Fabric handle with SSA becomes smoother while sodium chloride give rough products.
- SSA maintains a normal pH value than Sodium Chloride.
- The dye exhaustion is higher in SSA than sodium chloride hence results dark shades.
- SSA does not cause any corrosion of dyeing machines but common salt causes corrosion of dyeing machines due to presence of chloride ions in it.
- Sodium chloride adds total dissolved solid(TDS) in dye bath and adds load on effluent whereas SSA is pure and recoverable.
- As SSA increase the solubility of dye stuff aggregation while Sodium Chloride lower it.
- SSA gives Better quality of cost effective dyeing.
- In order to get similar depth shade the concentration of SSA required is less than Sodium chloride.
- 90% recovery of SSA is possible during dyeing.
Use of sodium chloride will become obsolete very soon and replace by SSA.
