Sodium Hypochlorite Storage Solution
Polymaster received a request from a customer seeking advice on how to store sodium hypochlorite.
The idea was to provide an?alternative to our standard CHD tank and bund, which is essentially a tank in a bucket. The open bund is not viable in outdoor settings or when additional chemicals are being utilised. The bunds can be filled or contaminated by rain, splashing from other chemicals, and a range of other factors when stored outside.
As a result, our team come up with a solution to house either a 1 x CHD 210-litre tank or 2 x CHD 110-litre tank inside our Double Door Cabinet. According to the standards, the largest tank must have a bunded area of 110%. With either of those options, the Double Door Cabinet would be able to store the CHD tanks and comply with standards.
This solution is suitable across a range of industries including Councils where there are small treatment plant requirements that do not need 1000+ litres of a chemical.
They're also ideal for use in the food and beverage industry, where they can be neatly stored for cleaning.
This is a great solution to store and dose chemicals when housing an Enclosed IBC Bund is not possible due to cost. This solution still contains a bunded area of 110%, but with a smaller litreage.
