SoCo Studios here. You’ve probably met us before, but you’ll be seeing us a lot more on this side of the neighbourhood soon - things are changing in our strategy.
As a creative agency, why not be super transparent in why we’re making the decisions we’re making around content?
We’ve been sending out monthly email newsletters for almost two years. Over the past year our average open rate was 46%, our click rate was 21%, and our unsubscribe rate is just 2%. So, with these stats, why are we changing our approach?
Well, we don’t subscribe to the notion that “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it”. We know that in our industry, as in most industries, market and customer needs are constantly evolving. We know what happens if we don’t adapt quickly enough and, to be honest, we want to stay ahead of the curve.
We love our audience on socials. We love creating fun and engaging content for our followers and we love showcasing the personality of the SoCo team and brand at large, but we also ambitious and we want to grow.
LinkedIn provides us with the platform to reach our key audience for conversion - B2B. Yes, you guys! A lot of you might not have even known that we had a monthly newsletter! That means that you’ve been missing out on months of high value content, and we don’t want that.
We know that we create valuable content, and not just the epic photo and video shots. We’ve got a growing team of content strategists who can help your business achieve goals that you didn’t think possible. But, how can we reach a wider audience if they don’t even KNOW about the value we provide?
LinkedIn is a brilliant platform for driving high quality leads, and in reality, you could probably be using it more strategically for your business too! Alas, we are transferring our monthly EDM to LinkedIn so that we can provide greater value to a larger audience!

The key highlight for the month? Our trip to the Shire of Ashburton.
Travis and Michael ventured up for eight days full of exploring, camping, and sending questionable selfies to our Teams chat (can the boss be the personality hire??). This was the first of multiple trips over the coming months to capture everything on offer in the incredible Western Australian outback!
Antics and epic scenery galore, we won’t bore you with any more reading - feast your eyes on some of our favourite shots from the trip!
