Society`s Gravest Problem

More difficult to cope with than those full of vanity,

Who feel that they are a constant target for cupid,

Are people whose voice and action test my sanity,

For I come to warn you all of the terminally stupid.

Oh, dealing with those who think only of themselves

Is easy, for they truly believe they are number one

But if you desire a whole brand new kind of Hell,

Try and deal with those who are amazingly dumb.

Complain of those sly ones till your face turns blue

And their skill at deceit and their duplicitous ways

For far worse horrible misfortune will find you

For idiots are confounding for many more days.

It is said the good Lord protects those of simple mind,

The brainless have the Church when they are in need.

Still, I pray the Pope reverses one catechism in time

And they hand out rubbers so the dolts won`t breed.

Perhaps you think that I am being too unfair,

Yet, my word of warning is rational and lucid.

So, live among the ignorant masses if you dare

And you too will join the ranks of the stupid.
