The society today or how we loose control on values and good working systems

Corruption, the often national sport of the current generation of politicians.

It is sad to note that corruption or fraud as a crime, very often stops at a time when politicians are involved in the case. National governments have police forces that investigate corruption and fraud cases and there are often driven people working there.

It is a pity that many files suddenly disappear into the dust, or that files are allowed to disappear due to ingenuity, or at least not allowed to go to court.

Now that our elite has also introduced the commutation of trials - something I have always opposed - I often see that wealthy citizens and politicians buy off their trials. I say 'GOOD WORK' ladies and gentlemen.

As far as the EU is concerned, we found a goldmine in terms of corruption and fraud. I had the privilege of speaking to the then State Secretary (BE, Mme Elke Sleurs - n-va) about this, as well as to EU Commissioners and even the Director of OLAF. Received correctly and they admitted the huge problem, but they don't want to do anything about it.

That is our society today.
