Meta’s Bold Political Content Overhaul
Meta is making updates to how political content is displayed and distributed across its platforms. The company is refining its systems to prioritise high-quality, fact-based political information while limiting the reach of potentially harmful or divisive content. This move aligns with Meta’s broader efforts to create a more balanced and informed online discourse ahead of key global elections.
By tweaking algorithms and implementing stricter content moderation measures, Meta aims to reduce the spread of misinformation and improve the user experience for those engaging with political topics.
This does feel like it contradicts what Mark Zuckerberg said recently. On the Joe Rogan podcast (of all things) Zuck announced that Meta would be removing fact checkers, with them being replaced with a Community Notes type thing, like X.
I don't know if you've ever seen how the Community Notes on X works, but I've mostly seen them being used for memes. Like someone makes a wild statement in a tweet that's untrue, but a Community Note goes along with it. And because the Community Notes are voted on democratically (and people love memes) the joke note rises to the top.
I don't know. It feels like the Community Notes system on X isn't perfect, so hopefully there's a bit of a different approach for Meta.
LinkedIn’s Game-Changing AI Tools
LinkedIn is expanding its AI-powered tools to help job seekers and recruiters streamline their processes. New AI features now assist job seekers in crafting tailored resumes based on specific roles, while recruiters can leverage AI-generated candidate outreach messages, saving time and improving personalisation.
Additionally, LinkedIn is rolling out tools to help SMBs optimise their hiring efforts, making recruitment easier and more efficient. These updates aim to enhance the hiring process for both job seekers and employers.
LinkedIn's new AI-powered tools are a game-changer for recruitment, making the hiring process more efficient and personalised for both job seekers and employers.?

AI-driven solutions like these are transforming how we connect with talent, enabling us to focus on meaningful engagement rather than repetitive tasks.
Instagram’s 2025 Vision
Instagram has shared its top priorities for 2025, with a strong focus on AI-powered advancements, messaging tools, and enhanced video engagement. The platform aims to integrate more artificial intelligence features to personalise the user experience and make content discovery even more seamless. Messaging is also a central element of Instagram's strategy, with efforts to create more interactive and meaningful connections among users. Additionally, the platform plans to double down on video content, particularly with Reels, to maintain its competitive edge in the social media landscape. These updates highlight Instagram's commitment to evolving user needs and staying at the forefront of digital trends.
Instagram’s 2025 priorities make one thing clear: adaptability and innovation are must-haves for brands. With AI-driven personalisation, content needs to be tailored and relevant - generic posts won’t stand out when AI surfaces what users care about most.
The focus on messaging tools highlights the growing need for direct, meaningful interactions. For brands, this means investing in conversational strategies like DMs and chat-based engagement to build trust. And with Reels taking centre stage, short-form video remains king (or queen).?
Success lies in creative storytelling that grabs attention in crowded feeds. By aligning with these updates, brands can meet user demands and stay ahead in the ever-changing social media landscape.
Get to Work
Play with content that taps into emotions. After all, the content we see on socials is created by people for people, pinpointing the importance of that human touch and relatability.?
If you find that your content is not performing as you would like, try and see if any elements can be reworked to resonate with users better. For example, check the titles in your image posts: do they speak generically about a product or service, or do they address a specific audience need in a way they can relate to and grab onto?
