Social proof. Please?
My best 'please' look.

Social proof. Please?

I have a favour to ask.

Since March I've been writing blogs, newsletters and Linkedin posts pretty much every day. And now I'm asking for you to do some writing for me.

One sentence to be precise.

To help me.

Let me explain, and then you can decide if you want to help.

I started FounderON as a hobby really. It was designed to become a resource for founders looking for honest insights into how each of the stages of a business feels. To help founders realise that they're not alone with the big decisions and the mistakes along the way.

Basically it was designed to be the website that I was desperately looking for when I was selling my own business back in 2021.

Since then, it's kind of become my job. The thing I think about most often, and the thing that I spend most time doing.

But unlike most jobs, I've never really worried about how or if it will ever make money. In that sense, it's a pretty rubbish job.

So over the last few months I've been coming up with a plan on how to turn it into a little business. But crucially, making sure that all the bits that are free, will stay free. Even adding some extra free bits.

And I have a plan that I'm starting to get into place. The aim is to fully launch FounderON 'the business' on 1st April, but I'm starting to make little tweaks every day now.

The things that will remain free always:

  1. The weekly blog
  2. The weekly newsletter
  3. 30 min free business advice calls for early stage founders
  4. My new START digital course (coming April) which will give actionable insights and advice on how to think up an idea for your new business and get it to it's first £150k revenue. Freeeeeeeee.
  5. And of course my daily Linkedin content/spam

Paid products that will turn it into a little business:

  1. Founder mentoring
  2. My new GROW and SCALE digital courses (also coming April) that will give founders the tools and knowledge to get to £1m and then £5m+ revenue.

Initially I will simply offer the paid products on the site and see if anyone finds value in them. The website will give a lot more detail than the above description, fear not. And if I get traction then I'll start driving more traffic to the site via Linkedin, Facebook and TikTok ads.

My plan is to drive traffic to the blog, not the product pages. Because really I think people need to build up some level of trust in me before parting with hard earned cash. So in the short term I will be investing my own hard earned cash into driving more people to the free stuff, with the hope that it helps their decision to seek out more.

Now, this is where you guys come in.

When someone arrives onto the FounderON site for the first time, my hope is that they spend some time reading the blogs and subscribe. But people only have a very short attention span. Especially team TikTok I'm finding. So I would love to offer up a bit of social proof to the future FounderON fan club.

That social proof would be in the form of single sentences from people that already know who I am and get some value from the content that I'm sharing.

Please say there are some of you out there Linkedin....

I don't want social proof showing how good the paid products are. I want the content to do the selling. So really my aim is to provide social proof that it's worth subscribing to the blog, this newsletter or following me on Linkedin.

I think I've overcomplicated the ask.

If you're still reading, and you find any value in the content that I share on here and my blog, can I ask that you send me a one sentence review that I can share on my site along with your name and profile pic?

Obviously I would love for you to share it in the comments below. But I also accept DM's :-)

I know we're all busy and it's a lot to ask, so I expect the response rate to be low. Just know that I appreciate you reading my stuff each week, whether you send in a review or not.

See you next week!

Honest storytelling from someone who has been there and done it. It’s great to read about ‘real’ things.

Authentic and insightful but not enough about Ethan Kitching if you ask me.

I've read every post in your blog over the past few weeks. All insightful and engaging. Shared it with a few people recently who agree. Keep up the great content!

I advised Chris's previous business (Molzi) which he built to considerable size an exited successfully in an unusually short period. Hence I know from personal experience that Chris is an impressive leader with the right experience and ability to guide others to similar success.
