I used to bury myself in social media activities, creating content, driving engagement and checking out what everyone was doing so I could keep up. It was fun, after all I was doing it for my business. But it was just that, “fun”.
From month to month my engagement was growing but it wasn’t reflecting in my account balance at the end of the month ??.
Some of you can relate. At the end of the day, you realized that you didn’t accomplish anything tangible in your business, only posting and commenting and snooping on other people’s pages. We all do that sometimes ??

Social media is great, but if not used properly, can become a problem, aka - distraction.
I need you to see Social Media as a TOOL in your business that helps you amplify your message and builds a community around people you serve who will eventually become loyal to your brand. From there, you bring them back to your base. I’ll talk about this in another post.
If you are spending all your time on social and you don't have a solid structure for your business or proper marketing + sales systems in place, you will become frustrated. That is when we start hearing, social media or digital marketing doesn't work.
There is a right order to building your business online. Jumping straight on the social train and focusing only on growing your followers, shouldn't be your primary focus because it doesn't always equate to cash.

5 年Depends on how you use it. With LinkedIn I feel I am very productive, with Instagram I waste a lot of time lol.
