Social Media for Small Practices Beta Opportunity

I regularly complain to vendors that services for solo and small medical practices are cost-prohibitive and not appropriate for practices with limited team resources. Recently I met a company with a sincere interest in providing social media education to small medical practices and was asked if I would help them find ten practices to beta test the education modules.

This is not a freebie, but if you work with them on the beta, you will get full access to the completed products at the end of the beta, plus some other goodies. I think it's a pretty good deal. Full disclosure: I get no compensation for helping with this project.

Even if you are not interested in the beta, I encourage you to click on Janet Kennedy's site Get Social Health and listen to some of her podcasts - she interviews some great people!

Here's Janet's offer:

My name is Janet Kennedy.  I am the host of the Get Social Health podcast and the creator of online training in social media for healthcare.  In conducting interviews with dozens of healthcare professionals for the Get Social Health podcast it became evident that more training was needed and desired for healthcare practitioners and their teams.

I am creating a series of online courses specifically designed for the solo or small healthcare practice. I need a few participants to take the course and help me evaluate its effectiveness.  As a participant, I would like you to let me know what you think about the content, how the course format appeals to you, and its effectiveness for your practice.

The pilot consists of content from four complementary courses currently in development.  They will be released one program every week beginning November 2, 2015. With each course you’ll receive:

  • A detailed overview of the subject
  • Downloadable handouts (Checklists, Cheat Sheets, Additional Resources)
  • Unlimited access via email to ask questions
  • Upon completion of the course, a personal consultation to review the course content and answer any questions you may have.

The course content covers the following topics:

Segment 1:          The current state of social media in healthcare

Segment 2:          Privacy/HIPAA Compliance/Social Media Policies

Segment 3:          How to establish your practice and professional presence online

Segment 4:          Ways to safely engage patients in social media

There is a fee of $247 to participate in the program. As a course evaluator you also have access to the course for any staff member at your same location. In addition, upon completion of the pilot and the personal consultation you will receive access to the full courses when they are published (a $788 value).

To participate, click on the link here, complete the form and payment:

If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Janet M. Kennedy
