Browsing through the internet, a lot of articles find their way through indexation mechanisms and try to educate our generation on Social Media.
Being driven into this technology by pure interest and faith, it amazes me to know that how conveniently the same set of information is replicated and still gets million hits. Conclusion - Exploit the maximum out of unaware masses. And yes, Extract (Monetary Terms) the maximum too !
We usually face clients who are absolutely taken aback by this marketing revolution and feel aloof on this subject. This article aims at beginning a series of information & educating masses in simplest of terms as to what this revolution is.
Social Media Marketing is a well structured methodology of promoting a brand in a phased manner. It all starts with hiring a marketing manager and experiencing a complete shift from conventional tactics. To begin with, following are a few basics which may result in a successful initiation of your marketing campaign :
- Once chosen, believe in your marketer's strategy. There's a lot that takes place behind the scenes while analyzing your brand's performance. Its a risk you have to take.
- It isn't necessary to involve hefty budgets for Social Media Optimization. The spends can increase gradually.
- Haphazard campaigns are of no use. A planned (atleast a week in advance) content strategy lets you analyse a lot of trends with respect to content, time of posting etc.
- Give atleast 3 months for your strategies to perform. Don't take an early exit. Let the marketing doctor's medicine take its time to reap results.
- Plan your brand promotion in stages. Create awareness & then focus on lead generation. Infusing monies in false hopes will lead to frustrations.
- Last but not the least, set your objectives very very clear. You should have twin focus strategies - Engaging the existing audience & Acquiring a new one.
