Good morning.
Here we are — social media has overtaken print newspapers as a news source for adults, according to new data from Pew Research Center. About 20% of adults say they often get news from social media, while 16% rely on newspapers. Still, television, news websites and radio remain the most popular sources for news for adults 30 and up. But among 18- to 29-year-olds, social media is the most popular platform: More than one-third look to Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and other social sites to get the scoop. Statewide news below.
