Social Media Medicine
With many trips to the Hematology ward over the past few months to be by my husband’s side, I thought; Wow! it has been some time since I have published a LinkedIn post , so what will I write about.
Dick Wolf Hollywood’s Law & Order's creator initially found his inspiration from what was in the news... so with that in mind, I feel that Medicine and Social Media should be what I need to publish today.
So what is the good medicine you need for Social Media?
Let me share 5 medical scenarios with you!
- “Every 4 hours” – yes we have seen this many times, adhered to the instruction many times – so how does this convert to mean anything on social media – CONSISTENCY – without being consistent with status updates, posts, interaction and engagement then your business may not survive!
- “Fever” – when we have a fever, we either go to bed, sweat it out or we will take some aspirin to relieve the fever and if we act quickly then we are less prone to get worse – so how does this convert to mean anything on social media - Are you going to bury your head in the sand and not bother with what social media can do for you and your business. This will make it harder to become established! The alternative is to take an asprin (learn all you can) head butt the options and contribute to make your presence stand out and up, and encounter social media with all your might.
- “Tablets” - well these are administered to make you feel better and that is exactly how your life will improve when you take charge and update often with the latest technology. Now with the devices such as IPhones, Android phones and tablets these will make social sharing,on social media much easier to adapt and to handle.
- “Injections” – medically some people handle them, and some people cannot, but in the world of social media ‘Injections’ are great. Inject great content into your blog post, status updates etc. as well as making sure that a good injection of images, video, podcasts are included as well.
- “Survival” - Wikipedia describes it like this “Survival is the struggle to remain living” Merriam-Webster dictionary describes it similarly “the state or fact of continuing to live or exist especially in spite of difficult condition” Relating survival to social media it is about never ever giving up!
Remember that social media is where your customers are, so that’s where you should be!
