Social Media Marketing Paid Vs Organic
Social media marketing is one of the fastest, most effective ways to create a brand, and cost-effective form of advertising. The best way for me to break down and simplify this whole concept is to break down the major platforms between paid and organic.
Hey creators! My name is Ede, and I am the creative director at Obas Media, where we build brands all across the Bay Area. So in this video, we're going to break down and go through the social media marketing. The best way to really give you an explanation is to go through what are some of the paid campaigns and organic campaigns that you can use on these platforms. We're going to go through each of these major platforms and discuss the best ways for you to utilize organic and paid reach. So, I also want to point out that there is a difference between Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Tiktok, where they look at behaviors and interests to target and promote. Then, search base or intent platforms like Google, YouTube, and Amazon. Think of social media as like a billboard that you drive by almost daily, if you're going to work in San Francisco or whatever.

Then, the Google, YouTube, and Amazon like the phone book, where your prospects consumers are actually looking for these services. So, let's dive into Facebook. So, you can run a ton of different campaigns on Facebook that are paid. You can run traffic ads to landing pages or your websites. You can drive more messages to you. You can also promote your page for more likes and more followers. You can also promote and book appointments for your services as well as e-commerce based as well, where you can actually sell your products on Facebook as well. Events, they do a great way of promoting events. I love that they also send you notifications and create appointments through your Facebook page. Now, if you're looking for organic traffic, I would utilize stories. I love using stories. I actually post on my stories more than I do a regular post.
Also, hashtags and going live. Those are the best ways to create organic traffic on your Facebook, now. Instagram is still a very powerful platform, and you're going to notice that they're slowly starting to change the interface, and it's looking a lot more like Tiktok now, too. So, for the paid services, you can do three things. You can promote your page, where when they click on your campaign, it'll go to your Instagram page. You can also promote a website or a landing page, as well as sending you more messages. Now, organically leveraging stories and really paying attention to your hashtags. I did a video the other week where I discussed three of the major apps that you can use on Instagram to really grow. Now, you can't run an ad to your IGTV or your stories on Instagram yet, but I'm hoping that that will change very soon.
You can do that on Facebook by the way, but you can't do that on Instagram. So now linkedin, I love LinkedIn. I've grown my followers through leveraging polls and creating long form articles on LinkedIn. I follow others that do the same. I just love the way that it's so Google friendly that you can also leverage hashtags on there as well, but it's just a great way for you to really grow your professional resume or your professional bio. You can also use the paid services. They have a ton of ways for you to do that, not just promoting your videos and ads, but also they have a backend CRM platform that is amazing too. I use it a lot during my tech days, and so I would encourage you to take a look at that. YouTube is still one of my favorites, as you know, Google is number one in the best way for you to search, but also there's a ton of features that you can use to grow organically on YouTube.
One thing is the keywords, like I mentioned, and if I didn't mention it already, you can use keywords everywhere to do your keyword research. I've also used SpyFu, SPYFU.com, and also, TubeBuddy. Now, there's still a whole backend to YouTube, like suggesting videos, other videos that you have, playlists, but also at the end of your video, what they can watch next. Then also, your call to actions, or encouraging your viewers to follow you. YouTube is its own animal, and I love YouTube, what it's done for our business, and how it's really grown our brand. I love teaching and educating more about it. So, topping the charts for organic is LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok. Then also, paid services are Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
